OEM Automatic now supplying AGRO cable glands

OEM Automatic is announcing a partnership agreement with the Swiss company, AGRO AG. This partnership opens up a new area of business for OEM, enabling the company to represent the wide range of AGRO cable glands in the UK.

Founded in 1953 in Switzerland, AGRO boasts more than 60 years of technical expertise. In 1955 the company achieved the first ever patent for a cable gland product and is now a market leader in cable gland manufacture supplying the renewable energy market, shipyards, oil refineries and food processing industries.

AGRO specialises in offering cable glands for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) applications, condensation prevention, fire and electromagnetic wave disturbances. They are also renowned for providing quality, quick response turnarounds for high-temperature and heavy duty applications.

Available to order now from OEM Automatic, the AGRO range of cable glands is split into five main product categories:

Progress: Designed for industrial applications ensuring 360degree strain relief and high tightness. The Progress range have a large selection of seal inserts for all sizes of single and multiple cable entries. They are available in nickel-plated brass, stainless steel with the option of high temperature seals or glass fibre reinforced polyamide.

Syntec: The economy range of lamellar technology glands for everyday installations, available in nickel-plated brass or polyamide PA 6.

Progress Ex: A range of professional cable glands for potentially explosive atmospheres. IECEx approved covering Ex d IIC, Ex e II and Ex I IIC manufactured in nickel-plated brass and glass fibre-reinforced polyamide. Multiple cable entry and EMC options complete this range.

Progress EMC: A comprehensive offer of products to give a restriction free cable installation, in applications that are susceptible to electromagnetic interference. The innovative range consists of easy and rapid fit glands and have all the features of the standard Progress range.

Progress ultraFLAT: A good choice for cleanrooms and the food industry. The ultraflat construction provides a compact tamperproof design with smooth surfaces eliminating any trap points, while offering outstanding resistance to chemicals. This range is available in nickel-plated brass and stainless steel (EHEDG certified) with the option of high temperature seals.
