Omnetics and its UK partner distributor Genalog will be co-exhibiting at the 2007 DSEi exhibition in the London ExCel Centre. In late 2006 Omnetics opened a new European sales office to support a growing market presence and increase penetration in demanding sectors, especially military/aerospace, which requires highly rugged and reliable - yet miniature and innovative - connectors.
Featuring on the stand will be Omnetics' Bi-Lobe range of Nano connectors designed to meet and exceed the demands of Mil Spec 32139. According to Omnetics, its Bi-Lobe connectors have become recognised as an industry-standard product.
Gary Evans, Omnetics' European Sales Manager, states: "Omnetics will be a new name to many European designers, but the company has over 20 years experience in producing interconnect solutions for prestigious applications such as NASA's Phoenix Scout Mission and the B2 Stealth Bomber." Omnetics connectors are also used on many other military projects, including several UAVs (unmanned airborne vehicles), where lightweight, miniaturisation and ruggedness are essential.
Of the relationship with Genalog, signed in January 2207, Evans comments: "ISO 9001:2000 approved, Genalog is very well established in the UK market with a strong a loyal customer base. They have a broad portfolio of connector and cable lines, and have invested to provide value-added assembly services, which will be very interesting for users of our products. More, as a specialist interconnect distributor Genalog offers exceptional service and delivery on short lead times."
Paul Bennett, Genalog's External Sales Manager, says: "Omnetics connectors have an enviable reputation for quality and reliability and are a natural fit for the military, medical and industrial markets that we cover."
