Omron Electronics at Total Processing & Packaging 2013
At this year's Total Packaging show, Omron Electronics will demonstrate integrated automation products that provide the packaging industry with flexible, efficient and cost-effective ways that enable quick and simple integration of motion, safety, vision and robotics onto packaging lines.
To support this, Omron have developed systems and partnership services that will reduce the amount of time and effort it takes to integrate automation technology. By utilising Omron's engineers and experience, customers can test options and innovations before committing resources full scale.
Central themes on display will demonstrate how Omron can help control and automate processes including pick & place, sealing control, label and product inspection, product handling, and motion control. Additionally, Omron have recently launched a wide range of advanced packaging automation products, including an entirely new control platform - one that enables packaging engineers to work with one software language and one connection type. Part of this will be a demonstration of the recently launched Delta robot system, controlled by the powerful Sysmac NJ Machine Automation Controller. The NJ controller uses EtherCAT as its machine network, with servo drives, inverters, I/O, safety and vision systems all residing on the same network, reducing complexity, increasing response speed and simplifying programming for the user.
Omron is also showing its vision systems and sensors and is giving particular attention to automated checking of human-readable text. Omron can offer both OEM components and full turnkey packages designed to provide 100 per cent inspection and eliminate non-conformant products entering the supply chain.
