2009 sees the purchase of more state-of-the-art machines by Ondrives, including a Doosan HC400 twin pallet horizontal machining centre to complement the high-precision, high-speed, seven-pallet version the company already has, resulting in greater flexibility and capacity. This is a linear-scale, high-precision machine with probing.
In addition, Ondrives has purchased a TESA-Scan 50 CE Plus optical non-contact scanner to enhance its measuring capabilities. To complement the existing Gleason-Pfauter P90 Gear Hobber, Ondrives has installed a twin to maintain the trend towards precision engineering. Ondrives is, even with these new models, able to thread grind with CBN wheels, making ground worms for extreme precision even after hardening.
Ondrives believes this continued investment in high-end machinery enables it to offer customers the best level of quality and precision components, as complete control is maintained in-house to exacting standards.
For more details on the newly enhanced in-house manufactured product range, including commercial and precision gears, worms, wheels, racks, pinions, timing pulleys and belts, contact the technical support and sales teams on +44 (0)1246 455500. Specials are becoming ever more the norm for Ondrives, according to Managing Director Ben Hinchliffe, so the company says it is able to offer the best in terms of quoting, quality, price and turnaround due to tight in-house control of all processes.
