One-stop-shop for sensors from process to packaging

Sensing and instrumentation specialist Baumer has a very clear message for the upcoming PPMA Show: “From process to packaging, we are your one-stop-shop for sensors.”

The message acknowledges that the time pressures imposed on machine and plant manufacturers in the process and packaging industries are enormous. Today, the demands for many projects are often a few months from order receipt to delivery, so effective and reliable sensors from a single-source supplier can result in big benefits.

But what does a ‘single-source supplier’ actually mean? The huge variety of new products and packaging materials which need to be conveyed, packed and sorted, often means that today every project has individual requirements for various sensor applications. Baumer believes that offering the combination of one of the widest ranges of sensors designed to deliver maximum flexibility and efficiency for processing and packaging applications, along with outstanding research and development and operational excellence, makes the difference.

At the show Baumer will be demonstrating its award winning range of process sensors, object detection sensors, along with the innovative Baumer Sensor Suite, all featuring optimum IO-Link connectivity and BSS. Products include the company’s high performance U500 and UR18 ultrasonic sensors for effective and extremely flexible double sheet detection across a wide range of materials. Also on display will be the new generation PAD20 level sensors, for highly accurate, reliable detection of air and gas bubbles.
