Operator controls for industrial applications

Although primarily designed to cope with the extreme, outdoor conditions that off-highway vehicles operate in, many products from elobau's broad range of standard operator controls are also well suited to many industrial applications that require precise, reliable and accurate operation.
One such product is the single-axis fingertip joystick JFT. Compactly designed for use in applications with limited space, the "on top" installation requires no under panel space. Operating with shielded Hall Effect technology, it is highly reliable with a long service life. As it was designed for controlling functions in cabs of off-highway vehicles, it has been ergonomically shaped with a soft touch finger rest for operator comfort and is customisable with a choice of various colours and symbols for maximum user-friendliness. With its high IP6K9K protection class and working temperature range of -40degC to +85degC, it can be used in countless applications that require precise and reliable operation control.
Another product from the range is their thumbwheel. Available in two versions, both the 175DT and 151DT01 thumbwheels offer possibilities for industrial use as well as in joystick grips and controls panels of construction and agricultural machinery. The 175DT thumbwheel can be used, for example, in applications that require remote control operation, such as the Titan 10 from international engineering company James Heal. They use the thumbwheel on the hand controller of their universal strength testing machine to control positioning the crosshead. As with the JFT, the thumbwheels are ergonomically designed to be tactile, as well as offering maximum accuracy and reliability.
