HBM is launching the latest version of its AED9101D digital transducer that incorporates updated transducer electronics to provide rapid operational readiness for weighing technology applications.
The AED9101D transducer processes interference-free signals from strain gauge full bridge transducers and makes them digitally available over long distances utilising various interfaces such as Profibus, DeviceNet or RS232/422/485.
The new "D" version has been designed so that a stable thermal state is quickly reached after the transducer has been switched on. This means that scale is ready for accurate operation almost twice as fast as traditional models. The maximum number of load cells that can be connected to each amplifier is independent of the supply voltage, for operational flexibility.
Reiner Schrod, International Product Manager for HBM, comments: "An instrument that needs five or ten minutes to heat up is not available during that time. The new AED9101D helps users to power on and start weighing immediately." The AED9101D conforms with the international recommendations of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) which state that check weighers, for example, have demands for a stable state of "zero' with a very high display resolution.
HBM's AED9101D is designed for a wide range of applications, including batching scales, check weighers, filling scales and many other variations of static or dynamic scales. For further details please visit the HBM website at www.hbm.com/.
