Harting’s slim design plastic connectors save spaceHarting is extending its Han-Eco lightweight plastic connector series with new slimline housings in sizes 10A and 16A to provide compact, space-saving interconnection products that deliver weight and cost savings for customers.

The slimmer design means that Han-Eco now represents an attractive plastic alternative for many applications. In particular, for assemblies on the back of switch cabinets, cables and retaining frames with prewired inserts can simply be clicked into the bulkhead housing mounted on the back of the cabinet, with the choice of conventional front mounting still available.

Harting’s Han-Eco A series includes hoods with straight or lateral cable entry, bulkhead or surface-mounted housing and cable to cable hood. In addition, flexible protection covers are available for retrofitting to bulkhead and surface-mounted housings.

The Han-Eco 10A and 16A housings are plug-compatible with the corresponding metal housings. They are suitable for applications in the industrial environment, and also for external applications with outdoor variants available with UV and ozone-resistant FPM seals. In addition, the use of Han-Eco housings allows connectors with Han A contact inserts to be implemented with less weight, as well as offering corrosion resistance thanks to the robust plastic, and application flexibility due to their speed of assembly.
