Conrad stocking Rittal’s latest energy-efficient cooling units

Conrad Business Supplies is now stocking a new range of cooling units from Rittal. The Blue e+ range provides far higher levels of energy efficiency than current cooling systems, and the units have been designed to offer improved flexibility, safety and ease of installation. Testing of the range has demonstrated energy savings of up to 75 per cent, which, combined with an increased service life, ensures cost-effectiveness for the user.

The Blue e+ range features a hybrid combination of a conventional compressor cooling device and a heat pipe for passive cooling. The range delivers efficiency six times greater than conventional cooling units in pure heat-pipe mode and four times better at a hybrid part load of 65 per cent, helping to reduce CO2 emissions by three-quarters. The Blue e+ cooling units cover a power range of up to 6000W and can be operated at temperatures ranging from -30degC to +60degC.

Usability has also been improved, with the terminals featuring a front-mounted TFT display that provides the user with all relevant information and multi-lingual system messages in plain text. CAN and Ethernet interfaces permit real-time data transfer with a variety of protocols such as CAN bus or Modbus TCP. In addition, a Near Field Communication (NFC) interface permits the simple parameterisation of multiple cooling units via an NFC-enabled mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
