P1P compact pneumatic cylinders to ISO 21287

Parker Hannifin is launching a new range of value engineered pneumatic ISO compact cylinders for use in a variety of industrial applications. The P1P series is a complete range of ISO21287 pneumatic compact cylinders developed to meet high quality and performance requirements at a cost-effective price, and are optimised to deliver first-class function and service life. A complete online presentation for this product can be found at www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK4Uba6cxh8.

With compact axial dimensions, the P1P is up to 50 per cent shorter than an ISO 15552 cylinder but with the same stroke. The series can be specified with a variety of installation alternatives for flexible use in narrow spaces. This makes it useful for OEMs that are designing and specifying in space-critical applications.

Offered initially in bore sizes from 32mm to 63mm, with the full range from 20mm to 100mm to follow shortly, the P1P series cylinders are suitable for use in a variety of applications such as processing, packaging, material handling and food production. Double-acting and double-acting guided piston rod (non-rotating) variants are available in 32mm to 63mm bore with strokes from 5mm to 80mm. The standard range is suitable for an operating temperature of -20degC to +80degC and operating pressures of 0.5bar to a maximum 10bar.

The P1P facilitates low maintenance cost for the user by being manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials. This, combined with Parker's expertise in seal technology, makes the P1P very reliable. Furthermore, all Parker cylinders have an initial greasing with a food-approved lubricant.

Available for rapid delivery and extensively stocked through Parker's approved network of partners, the P1P series is suitable for end-user maintenance engineers that want to ensure machine uptime, and for OEMs that want to reduce their design cycle time. The ISO standard means that the P1P series is directly interchangeable with other manufacturers' compact cylinders. Thus, for situations where alternatives are needed fast, the P1P can be specified.

The P1P benefits from effective elastic cushioning which absorbs residual energy. This facilitates operation at high speeds with short cycle times and delivers low noise performance. A full range of electronic and reed sensors are available for the P1P. Further information on this new range of pneumatic cylinders can be found at www.parker.com/pde/p1p or via Parker Hannifin's worldwide network of approved distributors.
