Parker Hannifin and Hydrasun, a major UK provider of customised fluid transfer, umbilical and process control products and systems, have signed a strategic partnership agreement for the development, sales and support of fluid and gas handling and process control technologies.
This agreement coincides with the appointment of Hydrasun as Parker Hannifin's first Premier Distributor in the UK. It also forms part of a long-term programme for both companies to develop new and innovative transfer control products and systems, backed by ever higher levels of customer service and support.
With its headquartersd in Aberdeen, Hydrasun is widely recognised as a leading supplier of fluid power and transfer products and as a designer and manufacturer of bespoke connectors, assemblies and umbilicals. As the company's CEO, Bob Drummond, explains, "We have worked with Parker for 30 years, mainly selling the company's hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, hoses, valves and cylinders, and a broad range of process control instrumentation. This new agreement and our appointment as a Premier Distributor now develops the relationship still further, giving us the highest level of accreditation both for local product distribution and as a global system integrator for the oil and gas and associated sectors.
"It also gives us further access to some of the most advanced technologies available, including Parker's comprehensive range of fluid and gas handling, instrumentation and process control technologies. This, in turn, will enable us to further develop our range of integrated fluid transfer and power solutions and to enhance the breadth of our support services still further, all of which will be of additional benefit to our customers."
Nigel Judd, General Manager for Parker Sales UK, comments: "The new partnership with Hydrasun is an important step forward for both businesses. In particular, the partnership will play a key role in helping both companies deliver a unique combination of product availability, innovation and dedicated customer service. Just as importantly, it will ensure that we can continue to meet growing market demand for ever more sophisticated technology, which is supplied faster, at competitive cost and with the support to ensure that critical systems function 24/7, wherever they are in the world."
Nick Brogan, Parker's UK Distribution Manager, adds: "The appointment of Hydrasun as our first Premier Distributor in the UK is part of our ongoing strategy to develop a network of major partners, including ParkerStores and mobile Hose Doctor services. These are capable of giving customers an unrivalled choice of motion and control technologies, backed by engineering and technical support, locally, nationally and globally."
