Parker Hannifin Corporation is focusing on future trends and technologies plus innovative platforms and services at this year's Hannover Messe. Leveraging over 100-years product and applications expertise across multiple engineering disciplines and end markets, Parker will demonstrate how it is able to act as an engineering and development partner for its customers to realise smart manufacturing systems.
At the core of Parker's proposition to support the development of smart manufacturing systems is its Voice of the Machine platform. The platform creates an Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem to provide customers a seamless IoT experience across Parker products and technologies. Several demonstrations at Hannover will illustrate the concept clearly to visitors.
Voice of the Machine delivers a progressive journey through scalable IoT systems development that simplify the development process as well as minimise risks and investments. All this is done while maintaining interoperability to support the straightforward use of Parker systems with other protocols, platforms and hardware.
Numerous other products on the Parker stand will underpin the company's commitment and expertise in developing innovative new products and technologies. These include Smart IO-Link connectivity for its valve portfolio, externally monitored safety exhaust valves and new additions to the Transair aluminium pipework range that speeds and eases installation and gives weight, space and cost savings in compressed air, vacuum and inert gas applications.
Parker's recently launched Accumulator Service will also be featured at Hannover. The service provides expert maintenance, service, repair and technical support for the company's products at designated service centres, via mobile units or onsite. This ensures the reliable, cost-effective and safe operation of accumulators with minimal risk of costly downtime.
Commenting on the company's presence at Hannover, Miguel Morales, Vice President, Internet of Things, Parker Hannifin says: "Through its Voice of the Machine platform and a philosophy of close engineering collaboration with customers, Parker is addressing and overcoming the challenges that exist and risk preventing the effective implementation of IoT and smart manufacturing solutions. Effective designs can improve throughput, efficiency and safety and prevent unplanned downtime and high maintenance costs across a broad range of industrial applications. In addition, through exhibits of some of our new products and technologies, we will provide proof points of our innovations to meet the current and future demands of a wide and diverse range of end industrial markets."
