Parker Hannifin to showcase electrification components at SPS 2023

Parker Hannifin will present a range of smart and digital automation products and solutions at this year’s SPS (Smart Production Solutions) show. These products and solutions enable engineers to create new automated systems, enhancing safety, control and efficiency, energy recovery, power density, electrification, mechanical solutions and ATE.

Visitors to Parker’s booth will find electrification components and subsystems to enable smarter production solutions. They will be able to learn about Parker’s lightweight and powerful solutions for mobile electrification, such as the GVM series (Global Vehicle Motor), GVI series (Global Vehicle Inverter), and extensive range of industrial automation solutions.

These include the brand new AC15 and AC20 inverter drives, the extended range of PSD servo drives, single cable servo motors and explosion proof ATEX motors, as well as electric and pneumatic actuators, pneumatic network control solutions, thermal management solutions, ECH (Electronic Coolant Hoses) thermoplastic connecting hoses, and a range of sensors for pressure and temperature monitoring.

The AC15 compact drive provides Ethernet connectivity and Safe Torque Off in a low cost, compact drive for simple open loop AC induction and Permanent Magnet (PM) motor control in applications up to 30kW. The AC20 general purpose drive provides advanced Ethernet connectivity and Safe Torque Off for open or closed loop AC induction and PM motor control in applications up to 180kW.

Global Vehicle Motor

With the introduction of its new GVM310 size Global Vehicle Motor, Parker offers an optimised traction solution to meet the high-performance demands of on-road commercial and off-road electric vehicles (EVs) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs).

The GVM310 complements the electrification of hydraulic work functions already possible through the use of the GVM210 in combination with Parker’s hydraulic pumps. The high power density and efficiency of Parker Permanent Magnet AC motors (PMAC) combined with a matched GVI inverter will reduce development risk, improve time-to-market and ensure compatibility and maximum efficiency. GVI mobile inverters are available in a wide range of low voltage variants. The brand-new second generation of high voltage models come with new features such as functional safety.

Double carriage High Load Rodless linear actuator

The HLR actuator series is a belt driven range of economic handling actuators designed for multi-axis handling applications and offering high load capacity in a compact form factor and high dynamics up to 5 m/s speed and 50 m/s² acceleration for quick time-to-market and highest machine throughput.

At SPS, Parker will present a new HLR double carriage concept as an OEM solution. It includes two independently moving carriages in one ultra-compact single actuator which can move synchronously as well as asynchronously. This enables the design engineers to develop even more compact machine concepts.
