Parvalux launches industry-standard gearboxes
Parvalux is introducing a new range of three gearboxes with industry-standard three-point fixings that comply with international dimensional requirements, enabling Parvalux gearboxes to be used as a direct replacement for units supplied by other manufacturers. The smallest unit - the S3P box - features output torque up to 4.5Nm, the M3P box provides a torque up to 11.8Nm while the larger L3P box increases the available torque up to 22Nm.
Features for the new gearboxes include:
- Different ratios provide a wide range of output speeds from 22-970rpm to suit individual applications
- Three-point fixing gearboxes can be integrated with motors from the Parvalux range to give exactly the right speed and torque for the application
- AC and DC motors are available in a range of voltages, including 12 and 24V DC for automotive applications
- A brushless DC motor (claimed to be unique) is also available with an integrated speed controller
- Manufactured in the UK, all the gearboxes are sealed to IP54 and feature a lightweight die cast body that is resistant to corrosion and suitable for mounting in any position
- The sealed-for-life, maintenance-free design has been optimised for minimum noise
- Encoders and tachos can be fitted for positioning output
- An optional brake is available to prevent 'drive back' and to bring the motor shaft to a standstill
- Other options for the gearbox include custom output shafts with threads or keyways, available in a range of different materials
While other suppliers offer standard gearboxes and motors that may require design compromises to be made, all Parvalux motor and gearboxes combinations are custom built to match the precise requirements of the application. This makes them suitable for immediate installation 'out of the box' without the need for time-consuming, costly modifications.
