Moxa has formed a partnership with controls and automation distributor PES Group to stock and support its products across the UK and Ireland. The agreement includes Moxa’s edge connectivity and cloud communication devices.

System integrators, panel builders, switchgear builders and OEMs can now procure Moxa products that enable connectivity between industrial networks and cloud IT infrastructures. PES stocks Moxa’s full range of products including Ethernet switches, fieldbus gateways, remote I/O as well as serial to fieldbus converters. The full listing of Moxa products is available on pes-group.co.uk and all product groups will be stocked.

PES also provides technical support backed up by Moxa’s UK applications and technical support engineers.

PES is an established distributor supplying industrial automation control systems, including PLCs, inverters, and switchgear. The Moxa agreement now enables PES to extend its offer by providing cloud and IT infrastructure communications connectivity in key markets including data centres, the solar and oil and gas industries, as well as the manufacturing sector.

For Moxa, the partnership will increase the brand’s awareness with UK system integrators, panel, and switchgear builders. Established over 30 years ago, Moxa has connected more than 71 million devices worldwide and has a distribution and service network in more than 80 countries. Moxa also supplies global OEMs and high-volume end users, as well as providing automation vendors with re-branded products.

Moxa’s edge connectivity and IoT communication devices are selected for their reliability, ease of integration, and secure connection. This summer the company launched an IIoT gateway with Microsoft Azure IoT edge integration for remote management at unmanned sites. Meanwhile, it’s latest generation of Ethernet switches, launched earlier in 2022, were the first in the world to achieve the IEC 62443-4-2 security certification for industrial networking devices.

“Moxa’s range of edge and cloud communication products enables secure and reliable IoT connectivity, adding value for system integrators, OEMs, and end users alike,” says Kevin McDermot, managing director of PES Group. “As the convergence between operational technology and IT continues, at PES we now provide a comprehensive range of industrial control products, along with Moxa’s array of devices that seamlessly enable cloud connectivity.”

Jens Holzhammer, general manager at Moxa Europe, said: “The distribution partnership with PES Group is designed to increase the availability and support of our products to a wider UK market. PES serves an extensive base of system integrators and panel builders, as well as OEMs. With their expertise in support and the ability for large stock holding, this forms the ideal platform to support UK customers achieve the benefits of IoT connectivity.”
