Phoenix Contact has joined the inaugural group of ODVA's CIP Conformity Club (C3). Membership of the CIP Conformity Club signifies that Phoenix Contact has affirmed its commitment to uphold the ODVA 'Gold Standard' for network product conformity by following the most current edition of the CIP Network specifications and maintaining ongoing compliance to CIP Network specifications, rules and guidelines.
Arnold Offner, Phoenix Contact's Industry Standards Manager, states: "We have regularly revised our products so that our customers can take advantage of the latest network features, while making it easier to create multivendor systems. As an inaugural member of the first C3 group represented by the founding companies and about a quarter of ODVA's members, Phoenix Contact is stepping up as one of the first companies demonstrating its commitment to specification conformance quality and multivendor-compatible systems."
Phoenix Contact has been a member of ODVA since April 1995. ODVA is an international association comprised of members from the world's leading automation companies. Collectively, ODVA and its members support network technologies based on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), which include DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP. Phoenix Contact provides one of the broadest selections of CIP products and has maintained active participation in multiple ODVA working groups.
