Piano black finish for automotive components

A piano black finish is within easier reach of every automotive component manufacturer thanks to MacDermid Autotype Autoflex XtraForm. Its lustrous and attractive surface on which cleverly designed controls can be integrated and made is not just practical, but aesthetically pleasing too.

Autoflex XtraForm film is a product for designers and component manufacturers seeking to achieve the ultimate piano black finish for parts such as Radio or Automotive Infotainment bezels, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning panels (HVAC), interior trims and buttons. The film's superior high-gloss surface, devised especially for the automotive market using MacDermid's Film Insert Moulding (FIM) process, also referred to as IMD, offers deep formability, excellent clarity and tight registration, as well as outstanding scratch and chemical resistance.

Renato Mozzi, International Sales Manager, MacDermid Autotype, explains: "Leading global automotive manufacturers are already using our films to meet the highest aesthetic demands of dashboard design while providing the toughest possible wear and tear performance. The film's versatility offers outstanding opportunities for truly creative applications that will enhance any modern component."
