Pilz introduces new machinery safety seminars for 2016

Pilz Automation Technology is adding two new machinery safety seminars to its range of training courses for 2016: a practical-based workshop for risk assessment in accordance with EN ISO 12100, along with a seminar entitled The Machinery Directive incorporating CE Marking, which combines two issues in a compact format and provides information about the CE marking requirements for machinery.

EN ISO 12100 Risk Assessment Workshop

Risk assessments are the key to machinery safety. The new Risk assessment workshop uses pictures and videos to guide attendees through the risk assessment process on machinery - it is totally interactive and practical-based. Alongside the identification of hazards, the focus is on risk evaluation (the degree of harm and probability of occurrence) and its implementation. The one-day seminar also covers the application of appropriate risk reduction measures and determination of the residual risk.

The Machinery Directive incorporating CE Marking

Delegates attending the new seminar The Machinery Directive incorporating CE Marking will learn all they need to know about the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and its requirements in terms of the CE marking of machinery:

  • Which machines fall under the Machinery Directive?
  • What are the responsibilities of machine builders, end users and machine operators (employers)?

There is also an explanation of the relevant standards that refer to the design, construction and maintenance of machines placed on the market and operated within the European Economic Area. The one-day seminar provides a step-by-step illustration of what needs to be considered during the CE marking process.

How to book

Pilz Automation Technology will offer the training courses throughout 2016. These seminars are also standardised internationally, so Pilz can guarantee practical, comprehensible content to the same level worldwide.
