Planetary gearmotors for miniature power transmission
Mclennan is launching a new planetary brushed DC gearmotor range from the Italian small motor specialists Micro-Motors. The PS150 is a compact 30mm diameter precision grade gearmotor with a 12 or 24V DC nominal voltage rating and is available in a choice of 13 gear ratios from 3.4:1 to 87.7:1. Nominal torque through the range is from 3 to 250Ncm. With its durable aluminium housing and 6mm diameter output shaft with dual bearing support, the high torque-to-size gearmotor has a maximum shaft load rating of 50N axial and 200N radial at 10mm from the front fixing flange.
The integral brushed DC motors include interference suppression electronics and feature rear output shafts for optional two-phase Hall-effect encoders or alternative position sensors that Mclennan are able to fit as a part of its custom design service. Motor termination is via convenient spade terminals and encoders have connectors with flying leads for straightforward installation. The PS150 complements the larger E192 and P205 series planetary gearheads from Micro Motors.
