Plastic riveting kit includes one-handed rivet setting tool

Supplied in a robust carry case, the kit includes various sizes of nylon rivets. On installation, the rivet's legs splay out on the blind side of the joint to lock the components together and prevent pull-out.

Widely used in the automotive industry but also suitable for light-duty applications in machine building, this type of rivet can be used in non-conductive, non-corrosive environments, and will not promote bimetallic (galvanic) corrosion - unlike using aluminium rivets in steel, for example. Typically the rivets are used for plastic-to-plastic joints, plastics-to-metals and plastics-to-composites (eg glass-fibre reinforced plastic).
