PMW exhibit low-profile motors at Robotics and Automation show
Printed Motor Works will be showing a variety of powerful, compact motors suitable for automation applications at the Robotics and Automation exhibition in Milton Keynes on 10 and 11 October 2018.
Featuring on the stand will be the IR9 range, which has a conventional internal rotor design with a very high slot fill that delivers class-leading torque density. The low-profile motors are available with a variety of standard windings and lengths. In combination with gearing, feedback sensors and brakes, they can be used in actuators, winches, etc.
For non-standard specifications, PMW can customise the stack length and internal winding configuration. High efficiencies as great as 94 per cent at the customer's load point can easily be achieved. Parameters that can be optimised include speed, voltage, torque, efficiency, cogging torque and thermal performance.
Also featured will be the XR15 series of in-wheel motors suitable for applications such as AGVs. These low-profile permanent magnet brushless motors have an external rotor design with the inherent advantage that torque is delivered on the outermost point of the motor. Torque density is also maximised by a high degree of slot fill.
The motors can be supplied with a range of options including hollow shafts, integrated gearboxes, encoders and brakes.
