Polycarbonate enclosures with metric knockouts
Multi-Box MBI series is both UV resistant and self-extinguishing, reports Norstat
Norstat now offers a polycarbonate enclosure for indoor or outdoor use that comes with pre-stamped metric knockouts, and is both UV resistant and self-extinguishing, says the company.
The MBI ENCLOSURE series from Multi-Box comes in a wide range of sizes with bases that have been pre-stamped with metric knockouts for quick and easy set-up or as plain wall boxes. The MBI also come with a seamless, foamed in polyurethane gasket and plastic cover screws to maintain optimum protection and corrosion resistance.
The MBI series is available in a multitude of sizes and can be ordered in a wide range of colours to fit specific uses or applications. The MBIs also have a high-impact resistance (IK 08). it is reported, due to a glass-fibre reinforced polycarbonate housing.
MBI ENCLOSURE’s are also available in a plastic hinge version, making for easy accessibility, while maintaining its IP 66 protection rating. “These enclosures are also UV resistant and self-extinguishing to flammability classification UL 94 V2,” adds Norstat. The MBIs also have multiple mounting points moulded directly into the base for direct installation, as well as DIN rail mounting plates as an option.
