Portable thermal imaging camera offers high accuracy
Megatech is introducing a new highly accurate, lightweight, portable infrared thermal imaging camera. Designated the PTI-90, this is one of a family of instruments suitable for manufacturing process measurement, energy audit and predicative maintenance applications.
The camera records visually the corresponding thermal image by using the built-in laser pointer that enables easy association with the thermal image and the physical target.
This easy-to-use handheld camera has a 320 x 240 resolution UFPA detector that provides real-time imaging at 60 frames per second. Incorporated multiple measurement tools overcome problems associated with real-time thermal video transfer. There is a removable SD card for up to 2GB of memory storage, while Bluetooth technology enables wireless recording, and high-speed firewire enables real-time analysis.
The versatile camera has a 3.5inch colour high-resolution LCD display and viewfinder. Temperature measurement range is -20 to 2000degC with an accuracy of +/-2degC or +/-2 per cent.
Moreover, the PTI-90 features the latest state-of-the-art microbolometer detector for accurate temperature measurement and repeatability. Constructed from aluminium for strength, it measures 90 x 160 x x 184mm and weighs only 1.57kg. It is powered by lithium rechargeable batteries that can give up to 2.5 hours of continuous operation.
