Position indicators extend versatility of hand-adjusted slides
R.A. Rodriguez says the IEF Werner domiLINE X-Y-Z hand-adjusted slides are extremely versatile in terms of the types and sizes available. This modular system comes with a range of options including a choice of turntables that are primarily for manual operation but can also be motorised.
To provide for easy and accurate positioning, the slides and turntables are now offered with easily fitted electronic position indicators. This enables absolute or incremental measurements to be taken with a resolution of 0.01mm for the slides and 0.1deg for the rotary axes. The indicator is powered by a lithium battery with a two-year life and an operating temperature range of -10 to +60degC.
