Dunkermotoren's ultra-compact BGA 22 Ironless brushless DC motor is now available with a suitable gearbox, encoder and controller. This BGA 22x22 dCore option benefits from the innovative ironless, BGA axial flow design and provides users with advantages such as zero-cogging torque, low vibration and very low audible noise.
In addition to this new motor, there is a BGE 6005 four-quadrant controller with CANopen interface that can supply currents up to 5A. Furthermore, the RE22 encoder is offered with a choice of 256ppr or 360ppr and is sized to match the existing BGA 22 motor diameter for ease of mounting.
For simple applications, Dunkermotoren offers the BGA 22 dGo version with integrated electronics and functions such as change of direction, start/stop, speed set input and speed output signal. The PLG 22 and PLG 24 are the two planetary gearboxes offered, providing a nominal torque of up to 1.5Nm.
Measuring just 22mm in diameter and weighing only 63g, the BGA 22 three-phase brushless DC motors deliver exceptional ratios of power-to-size and power-to-weight, producing up to 50 per cent more power than comparably sized brushless DC motors and are suitable for low-noise applications. They support low nominal speed (around 3000rpm) and are well suited to medical, pharmaceutical or aviation motion control applications, for example powering small pumps in micro-fluidic handling systems, or wherever optimum flexibility or up-scaling is required.
In common with Dunkermotoren's existing BLDC motors the BGA 22 is designed for an exceptionally long life, high power density and efficiency, high dynamic acceleration and low noise. It features neodymium magnets, with no cogging torque, a coreless design, with integral hall sensors for rotor position detection.
