PPMA is running its popular Project Management training course on 11 February 2020.

This one-day course, which is being held at the Manchester Airport Marriott Hotel, will be useful for anyone who manages or is involved with projects. Designed as an introductory course, is it aimed at people who have had no previous formal training in the subject, and those who want to refresh their current knowledge.

The main themes in the Project Management training course are the ways in which projects differ from routine tasks, the importance of planning and the key techniques that contribute to successful projects.

During the course, attendees will explore how to:

  • Define the purpose of a project
  • Identify the tasks that are required
  • Identify and communicate with stakeholders
  • Creatively generate solutions to problems
  • Plan the activities and accurately sequence them
  • Identify the tasks that will determine whether deadlines will be met
  • Manage the risks

In addition to the Project Management course, the PPMA also presents machinery safety seminars covering the Machinery Directive, Machinery Risk Assessments, Machine Guarding, Functional Safety, Robotic Safety for Integrators, PUWER and CE Audits. Other management training courses address Operational Excellence, Dealing with Difficult People, Better Communications Skills at Work, Effective Sales Skills for Non-Salespeople, HR for Non-HR Managers, Managing Workplace Performance and there is also an Advanced Project Management Course that is intended as a follow-up for people who have attended the introductory project management course. Furthermore, any of these seminars and courses can be tailored and presented exclusively to an organisation on an in-company basis.
