PPMA Ltd (the Processing & Packaging Machinery Association) is running a seminar, CE Audit, on 31 January 2018 at the Marriott Hotel in Leicester. By undertaking a CE Audit before accepting a new machine, a buyer can bring non-compliances to the attention of the machine builder prior to delivery, and before the final payment is made.
This seminar is aimed primarily at machine buyers, but manufacturers will also find it useful because the seminar will explain what information needs to be shared.
The main areas covered in the seminar are:
Attendees are also reminded that a CE Audit does not avoid the need for a PUWER assessment when the machine is installed.
Other machinery safety events planned by the PPMA for 2018 include seminars on the Machinery Directive, PUWER, risk assessments, guarding, robot safety and functional safety.Detailed information about the CE Audit seminar is available on the PPMA's website, together with registration forms.
