Precision Acoustics celebrates 25th anniversary
Precision Acoustics has been at the forefront in the design, development and manufacture of ultrasonic measuring equipment for 25 years. The company specialises in the research and development of ultrasonic test equipment used extensively in the QA of medical devices, to provide industry with ultrasonic NDE and within academia and national measurement institutes throughout the world.
The company is run by Gary Livingstone and in 2016 there are plans in place to move the business from its current 300m2 location to a 600m2 base in order to cope with the increasing demand for its products and services.
Gary also runs the motion control specialist LG Motion Limited, and the two companies often work closely together on projects to provide customised packages for ultrasound measuring and NDT equipment powered by sophisticated motion control drive systems designed and manufactured by LG Motion.
The management team includes an enormous wealth of experience in the areas of acoustic measurement, piezo polymer and piezo ceramic materials, fibre optic hydrophones and acoustic calibration and measurement.
The company works closely with the research and metrology establishments around the world to further ultrasound research and assist in the development of international standards within ultrasonics.
