Cliff Electronics is expanding its range of internationally renowned audio jack sockets with a new range of stereo 3.5mm panel mount switched vertical audio jack sockets. The FC68 series have been designed for a wide range of professional applications requiring high-quality 3.5mm sockets and offer compact vertical mounting to facilitate high packing densities on control panels.
Typical applications for the Cliff FC68 series include audio mixing desks, amplifiers, synthesisers and earphone sockets for professional equipment.
Three versions of the 3.5mm stereo switched jack socket are currently available: the FC681374V with solder tags for vertical chassis mount supplied with metal ring nut, the FC681375V PCB mounting version supplied with metal ring nut, and the FC681375H supplied with metal hex nut. All versions have a13mm stand-off body length and body shape which supports auto insertion during manufacture.
John Hall, General Manager of Cliff Electronics, comments: "Our FC68 series of professional quality jack sockets offer designers a high-quality, reliable audio connecter designed to require minimal mounting space allowing equipment designers maximum flexibility with panel content and layout. We have been supplying connectors all major manufacturers in the music and pro-audio industry since 1964 and continue to respond to the needs of this important and growing market."
Cliff also manufacture the S9 range of 3.5mm stereo switched jack sockets featuring contacts engineered with advanced contact tip technology to accept the widest range of Far Eastern plug shapes. The S9 stereo jack sockets are widely used in educational equipment, mobile systems for exhibition audio tours, PDAs and personal audio products.
Cliff's industry standard flagship S2 and S4 ¼ inch audio jack sockets are used worldwide for premium audio, guitar amplifiers and foot-pedals. Ooffset nose space saving narrow body versions are available for applications where space is at a premium. Sealed versions are available which minimise contact contamination due to dust and dirt commonly found in fan-cooled equipment or products which are infrequently used and spend time in storage.
Cliff Electronics patented range of "Stack Jack" sockets allow two sockets to occupy the same PCB space as a single conventional socket. This offers increased printed circuit board density with greater reliability than vertical jacks for mono and stereo applications. Options include selection of stacking spacer thickness to accommodate flexible fixing choices.
