Pryor to demonstrate part ID systems at Smart Factory Expo 2018

Pryor Marking Technology will be showcasing its products that encompass the three essential tools for implementing traceability within digital manufacturing operations - precision marking equipment, vision devices and data management software - at Smart Factory Expo 2018 (Stand B12).

Smart Factory Expo, run by The Manufacturer magazine, is the UK's biggest showcase for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), a revolution in manufacturing agility, innovation and thinking. At this year's exhibition, visitors to the Pryor stand will have the opportunity to meet the team to discuss component tracking software for integration with existing operations, portable in-the-field equipment or bespoke designs.

On show will be the latest system from Pryor, the On The Fly, High Speed Laser Marking machine. This enables permanent laser marking and verification of components on a high speed conveyor, in as little as 0.5 seconds. Component marking without stopping the production line flow has a huge impact on cycle time; maintaining critical cycle times is a huge advantage to manufacturers.

As well as a range of machine demonstrations on the stand, Pryor will also be carrying out software demonstrations to show how quickly and easily to implement an Industry 4.0 system in production processes, asset tracking and traceability. With unique IDs marked on assets, components, work stations or tooling, manufacturing data can be quickly collected and collated. Items can be tagged with production information, monitored for process improved or updated during service.

In addition, Pryor will be showcasing its range of dot peen marking equipment, both portable hand-held units and industrial bench-top. Dot Peen marking can mark a wide range of work pieces using a variety of different character styles, sizes and depths.

Pryor's team of experts will be on hand throughout the event to answer questions that visitors may have about traceability. They'll also be available to discuss the company's marking products and how with their software, accurate full life cycle traceability can be achieved.

Alastair Morris, Sales Director at Pryor, comments: "Data capture, process control and component traceability are all possible with our unique part identification solution. This level of control for manufacturers can cut money, waste and time associated with recalls."

This year's Smart Factory Expo takes place on 14-15 November at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool, UK. Visitors to the show will find Pryor at Stand B12, Digital Transformation zone.
