The dynamic growth of sister companies R. A. Rodriguez and RARUK Automation has resulted in both relocating to a substantial new facility in Shefford, Bedfordshire. The new headquarters building officially opened for business on 1 July 2019, providing dedicated facilities for enhanced customer services and scope for continued expansion.
R. A. Rodriguez supplies high-quality engineering components and technical consultancy for respected brands such as Kaydon bearings, Regal's McGill aerospace bearings, KHK gears, Framo Morat gears and gearboxes, and Grob Linear Chain. Sister company RARUK Automation specialises in easy and flexible automation at the heart of which are systems based on UR collaborative robots and Robotiq end effectors, MiR autonomous AIVs, Toshiba Machine industrial robots, IEF Werner linear motion systems and various brands of feeding systems.
Increased sales have driven this relocation, but so too has the need for more facilities to meet demand for the consultancy services for which both companies are renowned. The new building has therefore been designed to include dedicated rooms for feasibility study and training as well as a fully operational showroom. Naturally it also provides greater capacity for growing staff numbers and for stockholding.
Managing Director Peter Williamson explains: "This isn't just a move for us, it's a long-term investment in the future of both companies. We have bought this facility to bring both operations under one roof, underpin their growth and to enhance our ability to design and prove solutions for our customers."
