Phoenix Contact has introduced RAD-Link Software V3.0. The Microsoft Windows-based, Serial Data Radio programming software now includes a network setup wizard and an advanced network monitoring system.
The setup wizard makes it easier to set up new or existing networks. The advanced tree structure allows the user to see the name of each radio and review which slaves are communicating with the master, and which slaves are communicating through repeaters. Users can point and click their mouse to reconfigure any radio in the network.
Each network radio can be constantly monitored for RSSI, temperature, voltage and dropped packets. Users can choose to set alarms to appear at the bottom of the screen, set alarm sounds, display a pop-ups or send e-mails/text messages, with the software recording a history of the alarms. Monitoring time and history variables can also be set by the operator.
