readycable product finder has integrated service life calculator
igus has extended its readycable product finder online tool to incorporate a service life calculator that predicts the lifetime of the cable. The tool enables designers, looking for highly flexible drive cables for energy chains, to select the required cable, from more than 4200 cable types, according to 24 manufacturer standards.
To use the readycable product finder, simply enter the igus or manufacturer's part number, or select the name of the drive manufacturer from the menu. Then click on the required cable type and the tool will list all suitable drive cables. The overview outlines the various cable specifications, such as PUR, PVC or TPE outer jacket, including bend radius and travel length.
The newly integrated service life calculator predicts the lifetime of the cable in the e-chain after entering various application parameters, such as speed, acceleration and operating temperature. Most importantly, the tool displays the overall price of the selected readycable. With another click, add the selected design to the shopping cart for ordering, with shipping from 24 hours. There are no surcharges or minimum order quantities.
