R. A. Rodriguez reports that its business has grown by 25 per cent on the previous year thanks to record sales throughout 2010. The company's figures show strong performance across all of its product groups, namely bearings, gears and drives, automation and engineering components. However there are a few specific factors that have made a significant contribution to this growth.
The company's success in the distribution of the high-quality KHK gears has been rewarded with R. A. Rodriguez becoming the master distributor of these products throughout Europe. The results of this additional responsibility are certainly starting to percolate through to the company's bottom line.
Kaydon bearings, for which R. A. Rodriguez has been a long-term distributor, have also been in greater demand. As well as growth in traditional markets for Kaydon bearings, the appointment of David Hey as specialist export sales manager has also paid dividends.
Demand for this product range has increased significantly in Scandinavia in 2010 and order intake is expected to be boosted further with confirmation that R. A. Rodriguez is now to represent Kaydon's sales interests in Turkey.
Growth in overall sales has also prompted RA Rodriguez to finalise plans to expand its Letchworth site. Additional office and storage space will result from the first phase of this development.
