With a series of presentations as well as engineer one-on-one sessions, the event will expand attendee knowledge on drive technology specification. Free to attend, visitors can also visit the Williams Experience Centre featuring the largest private collection of F1 cars in the world.

For engineers, by engineers, Drive Technology Insight includes five keynote presentations by maxons engineering leaders. Demystifying Motor and Gearbox Technologies: Choosing the Right Powerhouse, will explain the principles and techniques to select the right drive system combination for a specific application. Following up, the presentation David and Goliath: controlling a dynamic application, will elaborate on drive system specification to help achieve the most compact and energy efficient design.

maxon drive systems have been used in the most testing locations, from the ocean floor to Mars. The presentation Navigating Extreme Environments will explain these experiences, discussing the challenges of design for demanding arenas. Meanwhile, in an exploration of motor controllers, Mastering motion: essential insights into motor controllers, will explain operating modes, control tasks, and encoder interfaces.

Finally, Unveiling the secrets of ceramic materials will explore how the properties of ceramics, including hardness, strength, and thermal resistance, can be harnessed to manufacture precision components for industrial machinery.

The event will also provide extensive opportunities for engineers to have one-on-one discussions with maxons experts. Design engineers can find out solutions to their current challenges and discover how to optimise their applications.

This is the third edition of Drive Technology Insight, and again, we expect to receive over 100 engineers from across the UK and Ireland, says William Mason, maxon UK and Ireland managing director. In just a single day, event attendees can learn more about the aspects of motor and drive technology crucial to them, presented by fellow engineers, giving explanations with real technical depth.

All Drive Technology Insight attendees receive free entry to the Williams F1 Centre, including the Heritage Collection Tour, generally not open to the public. Home to more than 40 of the teams seminal race cars, the exhibition charts Williams F1s history, successes, and memorable moments.

Breakfast and lunch are also provided at Drive Technology Insight, and the event features opportunities throughout the day to network with fellow design engineers.
