National Instruments UK & Ireland has announced that Don Braggins, Director of the UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) and Executive Committee Member of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) will present the Keynote at the NI Automation and Vision Forum that takes place at NI's premises in Newbury, Berkshire, on Thursday 4 December 2008.
Entitled Machine Vision Takes Its Place in the Automation Engineer's Toolbox, Braggins' Keynote will examine the evolution of industrial machine vision and the productivity gains it brings to automation engineers today.
The NI Automation and Vision Forum is a free-of-charge conference for engineers and scientists, providing hands-on sessions and technical presentations from market leaders including Alrad, Firstsight Vision (which is to be renamed Stemmer Imaging From 1 January 2009) and National Instruments.

Two tracks of sessions will cover machine vision, industrial control and automation, and there will also be a hands-on track.
