Remote switching device is controlled by telephone

Roalan is introducing the GMT-RC01 GSM remote switching device that is designed for easy programming, quick installation and simple operation by end users. Providing basic (normally open) relay remote switching, the GMT-RC01 is supplied in a rugged IP66 enclosure and is available in two

models.

The GMT-RC01 is supplied with an internal antenna, programming cable for PC connection and a CD-ROM. The GMT-RC01EX is supplied with a cabled self-adhesive antenna with an SMA connector for flexible mounting in more complex or difficult applications. In addition, a high-gain wall- or post-mounted antenna is available.

This device has a standard SIM card socket allowing the installer or user to select the best service provider for the location where it is to be installed. It will only accept calls from up to 200 stored telephone numbers, and its output relay can be used for operating gates, barriers, doors, for resetting electronic equipment, or for switching virtually any electrical device from almost any phone anywhere in the world.

Programming the device is said to be very easy thanks to the intuitive PC-based software that is provided free of charge, plus a USB connector cable to plug in to a laptop or PC. Remote programming can be carried out if required using SMS messaging.
