Rittal shows latest EPLAN Cabinet Software

Rittal's EPLAN division is showing the latest EPLAN Cabinet software at the Machine Building show 2007. This package supports exchange with the EPLAN and CAD environment, as well as ensuring links to production. Newly redesigned, EPLAN Cabinet has further optimised the workflow between electrical project planning and the production process and represents a major rationalisation boost for enclosure configuration.

Potential population or assembly errors may be detected on the virtual product at a very early stage in the project and eliminated from the outset. Downstream processes benefit from high-quality documentation within the context of enclosure editing and assembly. Meanwhile, upstream processes such as sales and marketing benefit from enhanced quality at the offer preparation stage, due to a powerful 3D model.

Complex views of populated enclosure components are generated automatically and wire lengths, routes, end finishing of wires and fill density of cables ducts are automatically determined. One particularly user-friendly feature of EPLAN Cabinet is the ability to import enclosures via the RiCAD 3D component catalogue, which includes the complete range of Rittal's TS 8 enclosures.
