Puls Power's new addition to its Dimension CP Series is a ruggedised unit featuring an integrated high efficiency Mosfet-based decoupling function for secure power N+1 redundant operation without the need for an external decoupling unit or use of inefficient "OR-ing" diodes.
The new CP power supply family features a 100-240V AC wide range input voltage and an output of 24V DC rated at 10A or 20A. Ruggedised with a conformal coated PCB the CPxx.241-R2-C1 versions are suitable for installation in harsh environments. The power supply is suitable for use in battery or other DC power systems and the CPxx.241-R2 models have an enhanced input range of 88 to 360V DC.
The ultra-compact CP10.241 and CP20.241 power supply range are just 39mm and 48mm wide and may be specified with either quick-connect spring-clamp terminals or hot-swap connectors ensuring no-break power in mission-critical applications.
Other standard features include efficiency up to 95.2 per cent, active power factor correction (PFC), minimal inrush current surge, 20 per cent "output power reserv" for peak load demands, operating temperature range of -25 to +70degC, operating humidity range from 5 to 95 per centRH, safe "HiccupPlus" overload protection, internal "DC OK" contact, RoHS and REACH compliance and a 3-year warranty.
All international safety agency approvals are met and the PULS CP series complies fully with the demands of hazardous locations - Class 1, Div 2 Groups A, B, C, D locations, IECEx, and ATEX by design.
Typical applications include trackside rail application, industrial systems, renewable energy, smart buildings and factories, drives and controls, transportation, marine, water processing, semiconductor manufacture, robotics and medical.
Marco van der Linden, UK Country Manager, for Puls comments: "Secure no-break power supply is essential for many industrial and control systems. Our N+1 redundant, hot-swappable DIN- Rail power supplies reduce system complexity and cost, offer shorter installation times and space savings of more than 45 per cent over conventional power solutions. With the addition of conformal coating, our products will now find even more applications in harsh environments. The PULS CP series are efficient, compact and reliable and have a highly sophisticated thermal design delivering the lowest cost of ownership to the end user."
