Safety light curtain withstands shock and vibration
Leuze electronic is launching the MLC 500/V safety light curtain as the latest addition to its MLC 500 range. The new MLC 500/V was developed for applications where the light curtain might be subjected to extreme shock or vibration, such as on mechanical presses.
At 29x35mm, the new MLC 500/V is extremely slim - a feature it shares with other MLC 500 models. Additional protection is offered by the BT-2R1-S vibration-dampening swivel mount, which compensates for vibrations before they reach the safety device. This mount also enables the MLC 500/V to be quickly and simply installed and adjusted on the machine.
On 'extended' versions of these V-models, users can choose from three scan modes and therefore optimise the availability, even under difficult environmental conditions. Fixed or adjustable beam blanking simplifies workpiece feeding within the protective field, and this feature also enables efficient integration of the safety light curtain into the production process.
