Scaleable PLC suits small and medium-sized applications

With programming options for Step7 and Step5, an extensive range of expansion modules, and with a wide choice of master/slave fieldbus options, the compact Vipa System 200V PLC is a scaleable option for small- to medium-sized, centralised or decentralised automation applications.

The 35mm DIN-rail-mounted System 200V includes an expandable backplane bus connector system and has a module height of only 76mm with nominal module widths of 25mm and 50mm; its compact size allows use in space-restricted applications and convenient cage-clamp (spring-clip) terminations ensure quick and trouble-free installation.

CPU options for Siemens Step7 or Step5 programming are available with a wide range of integrated memory, fieldbus and communications interfacing modules. These include up to 128/192kB of battery-backed work/load memory, Profibus-DP Master or Slave, CANopen Master, TCP/IP, MPI interface and RS232 or RS485. System 200V CPUs are also programmable with Vipa's own WinPLC7 software. CPUs feature a real-time clock and additional memory expansion is available via standard MMC modules.

For centralised applications, up to 32 modules may be directly connected to the main CPU and, for distributed control, separate fieldbus-master modules are available for CANopen and Profibus-DP. In addition, fieldbus-slave modules for CANopen, Profibus-DP, Interbus, DeviceNet and TCP/IP form an integral part of the range.

Power supply options include 24V/48W units with and without distribution terminals and separate power terminal modules with two- or three-wire connection are available for standalone applications. A very wide range of digital and analogue input and output modules in a variety of configurations ensures that I/O is closely matched to application requirements with little wastage. I/O modules from Vipa's Economical range are also available with very competitive pricing for mid-range functionality and smaller automation applications.

Communication processor modules include RS232, RS485 and Modbus; enOcean, a four-tier mini switch for 10/100 Ethernet, is also available for system expansion. Function modules include both stepper and servo motor controls.

The comprehensive CE and UL approved range is completed with a PC-CPU that further extends the distributed control potential of the System 200V and a wide range of accessories available include connection cables, bus connectors and DIN rails.
