Schaeffler receives 2015 Quality Supplier Award from Danfoss

Danfoss A/S has presented its 2015 Quality Supplier Award to Schaeffler. In 2015, Schaeffler supplied 3.3 million parts from more than 20 plants across the globe to Danfoss locations around the world - and only two parts were rejected.

In granting this award, Danfoss has recognised the high quality standards that characterise both companies and that are essential for remaining competitive over the long term and for durable customer relationships. Kim Fausing, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Danfoss, comments: "We work with our suppliers to reach our goal of providing our customers with ever more reliable and innovative products. Not only does Schaeffler meet this requirement with its outstanding product quality, but also with products developed specifically for our innovations. We are looking forward to continuously expanding our partnership, which has been successful for more than 20 years."

Schaeffler supplies approximately 170 different products to Danfoss, most of which are installed in hydraulic units for mobile machinery. This includes standard products in premium X-life quality, as well as specially designed products for hydraulic units, such as cradle bearings. More than 10 different Schaeffler products are used in Danfoss' highly successful H1 series of piston pumps and motors, for example, which play an important role in optimising the energy efficiency of these units.

Accepting the award during Danfoss' Global Supplier Day event in Warsaw, Poland, Dr Udo Markowski, Vice President Global Key Account Management Industrial at Schaeffler said: "I am pleased and proud of this recognition of our work. Zero defects in all processes and products is not only one of Schaeffler's defined corporate goals, but it is also the result of our continuous quality policy, as we've been able to demonstrate with Danfoss. I would like to thank our team that works hand in hand across three continents and does everything from the RFQ to the delivery. We view this award as an appreciation of what we have achieved, as well as a commitment to the future."
