Schaeffler wins Goldwind 2011 supplier award
The Schaeffler Group has received a 2011 Excellent Supplier Award from Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of wind turbines headquartered in China. The award, which is the highest accolade bestowed on suppliers by Goldwind, is an indication of Schaeffler's leading position in the Chinese wind energy industry.
The 2011 Excellent Supplier Award was presented to Schaeffler during Goldwind's 3rd Supplier Conference in Beijing on 7 January 2012. Schaeffler was the only bearing company to receive an Excellent Supplier Award.
After receiving a "2010 Technology Cooperation Award' from Goldwind last year, this latest award further endorses the products and services supplied by Schaeffler.
The Schaeffler Group's Industrial Division has more than 30 years' experience in the wind power industry, developing and manufacturing a full range of bearing solutions for wind turbines. Schaeffler is also the first bearing manufacturer to have established a professional sales and technical support team in China and to have initiated close cooperation with almost every major wind turbine manufacturer there.
The collaboration between Schaeffler and Goldwind goes far beyond the supply of bearings. It also encompasses condition monitoring of wind turbines, design and simulation calculations, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), market development and management, as well as linear product development and linear applications.
