Screwless connectors and slimline power supplies at PPMA Total

Innovative screwless connectors, ultra-slim power supplies and an extended line of analogue input I/O are just some of WAGO's products targeting machine builders and packaging equipment OEMs at the PPMA Total Show 2016, 27-29 September 2016 at NEC Birmingham.

WAGO (Stand A101) is introducing the industry's only pivot style fuse terminal blocks in a three-conductor variant. The newest addition to the TOPJOB S family allows a second conductor to be connected on the field side.

Targeting the needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and machine builders, the TOPJOB S line offers the same quick and easy wiring with Push-in CAGE CLAMP that has become the hallmark of WAGO's connection range. Wiring stranded conductors is always hands-free, via simple screwdriver actuation to keep the clamp open. Solid or ferruled conductors can be directly pushed in. TOPJOB S three-conductor fuse and disconnect terminal blocks are vibration proof, thermal cycling resistant and always gas tight.

All TOPJOB S terminal blocks offer an exclusive jumper retention spring for vibration-proof, maintenance-free connectivity when commoning. An extensive range of jumpering options and fast, low-cost printing with WAGO's smartPRINTER makes the TOPJOB S easy to use and quick to install.

WAGO's EPSITRON CLASSIC power supplies offer an ultra-slim package featuring 1-, 2- and 3-phase variants. With an ambient operating temperature range of -25degC to +70degC, a high transient protection level of up to 4kV and UL508 approval, the CLASSIC family of power supplies are universally compatible with a wide range of applications and supply networks worldwide.

With uniform slim style housing and features such as integrated TopBoost, which provides power with a multiple of the rated current for up to 50 ms, providing enhanced output protection of standard circuit breakers.

WAGO has extended its line of analogue input I/O to include compact, highly accurate modules with an excellent price/performance ratio. At just 12mm wide these controllers offer advanced capabilities in a very small profile, with 8 channels in a 12mm footprint. Modules are configurable by channel for maximum system flexibility, while on-board diagnostic alarms help improve system reliability.

Available in three variants that read thermocouple, analogue current, and analogue voltage input, the new modules are suitable for applications including shipboard monitoring, industrial manufacturing and process plants.
