See electronics design and manufacturing services at DSEi
HCD is showcasing its full range of electronics design and manufacturing services on stand number N9-145 at DSEi, ExCel, from 13-16 September 2011. HCD specialises in fast-turnaround, flexible production and ensures high-quality products through a policy of continuous investment in new equipment and employing only highly-skilled professional PCB designers and production engineers. The company has seen a dramatic increase in its order book over 2010-2011 and its customer base includes major aerospace and defence companies, with a rate of repeat orders that exceeds 80 per cent.
HCD started as an expert PCB design house in 1997 and moved on to contract manufacturing, quickly acquiring a reputation for specialising in prototype and short-run production orders. It continued to expand both its facilities and its workforce and now offers not only PCB design, but also fast-turnaround bare board manufacture, component procurements, assembly, BGA inspection and rework, cable assemblies and box build.
Co-founders Gene and Carol Holmes comment: "We decided to exhibit at DSEi for the first time this year as we have seen a significant increase in business from the aerospace and hi-rel sectors due to our capabilities in close-tolerance, high-specification work and now number major aerospace and defence contractors such as BAE Systems and Thales among our customers. We can produce PCBs to IPC 610A-Class 3 and meet the new Def-Stan 61-5 issue 6 regulations issued only last year, which cover PCBs for military power and protection devices. Our reputation in the defence sector is growing rapidly and we aim to raise our profile in the sector still further through our participation at DSEi. We are looking forward to meeting potential customers and explaining what we can offer not only in terms of design and production, but also how our quality and service-driven approach results in timely and competitively-priced products.
