See Optris infrared thermometers and cameras at Mtec

Optris specialises in the development, production and sales of non-contact infrared thermometers. The product range comprises inline sensors as well as portable infrared cameras and pyrometers for use in research and development, process control and maintenance.

The company has a stand at the 2010 Mtec exhibition to promote its products and talk to potential distribution partners who might be interested in working with Optris in the UK.

Optris CT ratio 1M

One of the products being highlighted at Mtec is the Optris CT ratio 1M miniature infrared thermometer. This is designed for temperature measurement on metals, metal oxides, ceramics and materials in the semiconductor industry. It is a fibre optic ratio thermometer that can measure temperatures from 700 to 1800degC. The sensing head diameter is just 25mm and the unit is 70mm long. A separate electronic box enables users to program the sensor, provides a display of the measured temperature and simplifies the wiring of the analogue outputs (0/4-20mA and 0-5/10V) into an industrial control system.

Optris PI USB IR camera

Image
For applications in product and process development, process control and mobile thermographics, the recently launched Optris PI USB infrared camera is compact (45 x 45 x 62mm), fast, very cost-effective and simple to use. According to the company, the Optris PI is the most portable infrared USB video camera on the market. It can be used for thermographic measurements on a wide range of object temperatures from -20 to 900degC. It is a full radiometric thermographic device, showing temperature images and profiles of the target area to be observed. The USB 2.0 interface enables the camera to be used with a laptop or desktop PC (or other suitable device with a USB interface) for real-time thermography and infrared video recording with a 100Hz frame rate. The Optris PI has a very small, water proof and rugged camera sensing head with exchangeable optics of 31, 9 and 64degrees.

Go to the Optris website for more information on either of these products.
