For military, aerospace, maritime and other harsh environment applications, Motion Control Products has launched the new Rayon series of servo drives from Redler Technology. The highly efficient Rayon 70 and Rayon 300 are capable of powering low voltage (12-48V bus DC) motors up to 12 kW.
Motion Control Products says these high-current, low-voltage servo drives excel in rugged environments, featuring near-motor mounting for space-constrained applications, and supporting DC or brushless motors.
They offer multiple communication options including RS232, RS422, CAN, and Ethernet, along with customisable connector and cable interfaces. The continuous current can reach an impressive 55Arms for Rayon 70 and 250Arms for Rayon 300, with peak currents of 100Arms and 750Arms respectively.
Designed in compliance with military standards MIL-STD-810, Rayon 70 and Rayon 300 drives offer resilience against extreme temperatures, shocks, vibrations, and humidity. These drives can operate in temperatures as low as -40C (-55C can be fulfilled upon request) to as high as +85C, are resistant to warm and humid conditions, and resilient to physical impacts and intense levels of vibration.
Rayon drives cater to various resolution requirements, supporting multiple, common motor feedback devices like SSI encoders, incremental encoders with Hall sensors, and sine/cosine encoders. Rayon 70 and Rayon 300 drives find application across a spectrum of industries including robotics, aerospace, agriculture, intralogistics, unmanned systems (such as AGVs, ROVs) and mobile applications like power-tools and antenna systems.
