The FDT Group reports that seven international companies have become members of the non-profit organisation within the past six months. These new members are Fuji Electric (Japan), Hiprom (South Africa), MACTek Corporation (USA), Metroval (Brazil), Rotork (UK), Top Worx (USA) and Wapice (Finland).
Flavio Tolfo, Managing Director of the FDT Group, comments: "The additional support of these seven companies significantly increases the global presence of the FDT Group, as the new members represent global diversity – located in Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia. This shows that FDT Technology is being increasingly accepted worldwide and that the FDT Group continues to be in an aggressive growth phase."
This brings the total FDT Group membership to a record 58 companies representing a significant cross-section of the automation industry. Member companies provide DTM's for their intelligent instruments, providing a protocol- and system-independent configuration and troubleshooting environment. FDT technology allows any device to be accessed from any host using any of the major field communication protocols – thereby reducing maintenance cost, maximising instrumentation capabilities and reducing configuration errors.
