Safegate light curtains protect workers where safety paramount

The SAFEGATE Light Curtain from ReeR is, states NORSTAT, “the ideal solution for the protection of workers in applications such as palletising, wrapping or conveying where the movement of goods must occur, but the safety of the operator is paramount”.

The SAFEGATE features the “perfect integration” of muting sensors, muting control, and muting logic, all built directly into the light barrier, it adds. “Flexibility is paramount in a muting light curtain, and the SAFEGATE series is the most flexible light curtain on the market today.

Configuration settings can be changed at any time, sensors can be upgraded, added or removed, and photocell and sensor mounting brackets are available to meet the demands of even the most complicated application.

SAFEGATE’s are available with resolutions of 30 & 40 mm, in 2, 3 or 4 beam versions, with protected heights of 300 mm to 2200 mm. They have an operating temperature of -30° C to +55° C and a protection rating of IP65 or IP67, “making the SAFEGATE series an ideal solution for almost any application where muting is required”.
