Single-axis actuator is configured to order in 11 days
Misumi UK is introducing a new single-axis actuator that is compatible with most standard servo motors, yet it can be manufactured in just 11 days. Compared with constructing an actuator from separate components, the actuator saves considerable time and cost.
Typical applications range from general factory automation and assembly equipment to automotive, packaging and medical manufacturing.
Design features include a durable and lightweight extruded aluminium base, a rolled ball screw, and twin linear guides with high load and moment capacities.
Customers can choose from various widths and lengths for the base, two different lengths for the top plate, several diameters and leads for the ball screw, and medium- or heavy-duty slides. In total there are over 200 possible configurations and the positioning repeatability is between +/-0.03 and +/-0.05mm, depending on the size and stroke.
The starting price for the actuator is approximately £525 ($1073).
